N770 + T-Mobile T-zones=yes!
I decided dial-up with my Razr on T-Mobile wasn't enough.
I have T-Zones (recently renamed, apparently) and wanted to figure out what I could do. 3+ hours of Google & monkeying around, I got it. I found this site: http://www.gruups.com/tzones/ and used it as my baseline. Here's what I did to make it work: Type:Packet Data Phone Number to dial: *99***1# APN: wap.voicestream.com username:10-digit t-mobile phone number* password:<blank> ADVANCED- Proxy: 216.155.165.50 port:8080 *It was this that allowed web browing and e-mail, without it, I only got e-mail. |
Re: N770 + T-Mobile T-zones=yes!
Ok, i tried the settings you listed, and i got the same result. I also tried adding the long AT string in the advanced options and nothing changed.......
Right now im using *CONNECTION NAME : Edge Date *CONNECTION TYPE : Packet Data APN: wap.voicestream.com Dialup# : *99***1# Username : 702883****( my 10 digit mobile #) Password : -Blank- then i DO NOT have the box checked that says prompt password each time Under the advanced tab I have use proxy checked with the information below HTTP Proxy: 216.155.165.50 port:8080 HTTPS Proxy: 216.155.165.50 port:8080 Then under IP addresses I have autoretrieve IP address checked autoretrieve dns checked and then under other tab i have the AT string command:AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","wap.voicestream.com" please help me figure this out hehe! |
