Possibly including him and concluding you verydeep and turbinenreiter are german, it seem to be at least four, maybe five if exluding him from the two finns.

But it looks like not everyone who payed taxes got dhl notice.
At least there is @ejjoman asking AkuArttu for details because he got no notice.

I am not staying in Germany :) I stay in Brussels, Belgium.
Leipzig could be the clearance location for DHL. The tablet still has a bit more distance to cover..

Maybe this is the surprise they talked about, no communication!!

And if they have the Lastu cases I wonder if they would be kind enough to send me mine, you know, what with it being paid for and all...

@verydeep and others - which version of the tablet did you preorder/get?

IIRC, the ones that were not delivered even though they had VAT paid for were 32GB. At least most of them.

Could this be the reason why @ejjoman and others were excluded? Maybe there are only 32GB versions being sent out?

I hope I am wrong, though, for my own sake :)

I ordered the 64GB version of the tablet and payed the tax back in October.

It would be nice, if we knew the order-# of the delivered ones...

I also know two Finnish guys who have got message from DHL. Their shop.jolla.com order# are both
(1400000)3XX.
Sadly mine is still 'paid' and no any DHL messages.

Ahh, so you still have the chance to recieve a notice if jolla is slowly going by chronological order, since the guys we heard from seem to have payed in september.

The closest approximation to your order# question is propably to be found either on the spreadsheet of doom or the list of desperation

They are shipping to the address provided in September, with no communication about the item being shipped. If it weren't for the communication from DHL, we would be clueless.

Just to get it straight and not let it roll uncommented.

This case now sadly helps to proof again,
"The honest ones are the dumb ones in the end".

Maybe now some guys feel a tiny little bit sad for the other guys unkowingly not recieving jtabs explicitly because of jumping the que and now profiting from lazy jolla to send the limited amount to whom has paid instead of respecting chronologie...
I personally hope you do something usefull to the community with those tabs.

It is Express so it is faster than Jolla's communication ;)

In the middle of all the fun? :) I'm still hoping Jolla will announce a new partner for Sailfish tablets very soon(TM).

Assuming the Jolla tablet makes it to my door step, would it still be possible to purchase a Latsu case?

Good question...what happened with all the lastu cases Jolla stole from us/lastu?

Is that part of the refund?

Well, if the Lastu cases have been manufactured, Jolla could pay part of my refund (up to the cost of the case!) to Lastu and have a case shipped to me.

Jolla have all the cases! And since there is a limited number of tablet you should be able to buy at least a few hundred cases.

1. Jolla posted an image with all cases
2. Lastu told us
3. It's how Jolla do buissniess. They take everything but don't pay or deliver on their part of the deal.

mrsellout 2016-02-28 14:21

Re: The Future of Jolla's Tablet

Lastu still have them listed on their website at €55 (+ shipping probably). I need one, but I pledged for one on IGG so am reluctant to purchase one until it's clear what's happening with that.

I think some people bought them directly from Lastu in anticipation, and obviously have been caught short as a result. Maybe if they listed them on the Buy&Sell forum they could get a sale now.

mscion 2016-02-28 14:33

Re: The Future of Jolla's Tablet

Ok. Thanks. Guess I can order one if my tablet arrives. Would the Lastu case be too big for this device? Thinking of getting one.

http://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news...rtphone-805937

About 1000 were released at $305 which is incredibly cheap for what you get. More to come "soon". Doubt the price would be the same but it might be just big enough to serve as tablet at times.

Give it a rest .

This is all old information from last year, when Jolla were almost bankrupt, which is why the cases hadn't been paid for. That is how all bankrupt businesses operate until they regain solvency. We don't know the status of the payment to Lastu for the cases destined for refunded tablets.

We don't know if they paid or not paid so the only fact we have is the picture and lastu comment that they wasn't paid by the end of last year.

Why don't you ask lastu on Twitter. You will get the fact :D they are very nice and usually answer straight up compared to Jolla.

We need some facts from Jolla indeed.

Someone did recently if i interpret the bing translator correct.

@AkuArttu 26. Feb.
@Lastucase mites käy niille ketkä tilas suojakuoren sen jolla tabletin joukkorahotus kampanjan yhteydessä? #lastucase

@Lastucase
@AkuArttu Moi. Jollalla on kaikki LastuCaset ja rahat joten hoitavat hyvitykset.

If Lastu is still not payed, it could be rootet in debt restructuring rules that maybe prohibit jolla to pay debts to selective debtors?
In german juristriction this would be the case.

A little known capability of the Jolla tablet is that it's capable of traveling through time. The production delays were mainly caused by batches accidentally skipping themselves several months into the future during the beta phase.
