Yep, didn't notice that one but the first use welcome sequence had similar issue. Fixed packages made earlier today are available here: http://www.pastillilabs.com/situations/sailfish

Was a bit late submitting the fixes to Jolla Store so an update there will have to wait over the long weekend ;)

Oh, and while at it, also added 'At end' option to the URL action.

One more thing. A small inconsistency(?) is poking my OCD.
The ''At situation end' option is before the text field at Command, while everywhere else it is below the input field. As I noticed.

My OCD spotted that also, but laziness won at the time. Anyway, it is corrected now - just visit Features page to get your fix of consistency :)

Regarding steady maintenance, this might actually be the last update for many many months as I'm planning to work on some bigger - perhaps even 3.0 worthy - changes. But who knows what comes up before that...

Situations app now works great anyway. It has all the features I can think of I might ever, some time need... Stability? No complaints about it either.

You made me curious about that 'some bigger' thing.
But you are not dropping SailfishOS, are you?

Hi, small bug. This last night, in France, our daylight changed. At 2:00, we switched directly to 3:00.

I run a situation which switch off the plane mode at 8:00. And this morning, the plane mode was switched off at 9:00, instead of 8:00.

Small bug. (Not totally sure, if related to situations?

But when I start situations, it will cut out my mobile data at first, even if it does not start any situation..

I am usin newest Taalojärvi, if this helps.

After I updated the new Ambience plugin, the plugin page keeps on stating to update the application first.

I believe, it is a know bug and will be fixed with the new app in Harbour (as soon as it gets approved)... or? :)

Human error: I updated the index files with the current Android app version. Should be corrected now. Thanks for pointing it out!

A new version of the app is certainly in the works but still far away from release condition...

I am having an issue since upgrading to Aurajoki on the Jolla 1. I have a condition which switches the mobile network to 2G and turns off mobile data when on my home wifi. However when I leave home it doesn't change back to prefer 4G and the internet switch on the mobile network data settings page is greyed out. the only way to fix this is to use the connect to internet quick action and select Sim 1. Has anyone else got this issue?

Yes, it seems something has changed in the platform in a way that doesn't play well with what Situations currently does with Mobile Data & Network.

I'll try to investigate the issue as soon as I have enough capacity to do that.

I think it has something to do with the fact that SailfishOS now supports multiple SIM cards.

On a related note, I've been using two SIM cards in my Jolla C for the last couple of days and it indeed seems like Situations is interacting only with the first one (at least with the cellular network conditions).

I can only confirm that the second SIM does not seem to be acknowledged by Situations. I was trying to register network cells but none is available to the software while I am connected through SIM2.

Since I never got Jolla C (despite being part of cbeta) and don't have Intex device either, could someone (nodevel, P@t ?) with a dual sim device tell me how the mobile data & network settings look in the Settings application? That is, are there separate settings for both sims? Or anything else that seems worth mentioning?

No help -> did some blind changes. New version of the app has updated Network Cell condition that *might* work better with two sims. And Mobile Data & Network plugins are updated too. Should work at least with single sim in Aurajoki.

I am not sure what you wanted (screenshots?). I can at least confirm that there are separate settings for both sim. You can as well enable one or both SIM. Only problem is I personally never tested with 2 SIMs ... and I have only recently started to use Jolla C...
I can test with the new version of the software that you are mentioning (coming to Store?). And provide more details if necessary (even though I will have limited free time in near future).

Thanks, well to be exact, I would like to know if both sims
1. can be active at the same time
2. have separate settings for Mobile Data & Network settings
3. have same options available for mobile network (4g, 3g, 2g)

So, If I understood correctly, all the options are at least separate & identical? -> Needs more work to make Situations control both sims separately.

Also, now that the Network Cell condition might possibly support two sims, would be good to know if it really does work ;)

Hi,

There's been a request in the Rockpool thread (Sailfish Pebble app) to switch the Pebble watchface based on context. It's already possible to list and change watchfaces in Rockpool over DBus as that's how the app communicates with the daemon. Could this be a 'What' plugin for Situations?

I am experiencing some difficulties using the latest Situations2App on my original Jolla phone since it has SailfishOS 2.0.4.x EA installed.

As soon as the phone times out and goes sleeping(?), Situations App (and daemon) closes.

When starting from the terminal, it gets interesting:

Opening it and interacting with the UI, a lot of these start flooding:
I have a hard time without my "Smart" in my smart phone.

It crashed on me while manually activating a situation, when associated situations became active simulatneously: I have a "sleeping" situation, which triggers a "flight mode" situation (started without crash) and another situation starting the clock app (that's when it crashed).

It also crashed when switching situations automatically based on the phone network (GSM, not wifi or BT).

Yes, me to got random crashes, and when running, a terrible battery drain. It went from 60 to 26% in about two hours.

Just an intermediate report: I think I found what is causing the crash. That is, something has changed in the way Qt DBus interface works with temporary objects and dbus calls. Will need to implement changes to many many places in the code -> will take some time.

That sounds bad... Wonder how many more apps might be affected by this change.

I will leave one more feature suggestion here, for the time post fixing this mess ;)

I'd like to see Situations offer me an additional criterium for each condition. Something like has seen specific WLAN for 5 minutes or 30 minutes, so as to avoid frequent switching of situations when you leave a place quickly but will return in time.

I would give my work situation or uni situation a grace period so they do activate immediately but don't switch back.

So the criterium should be selectable to be applied for switching to, and or out of a situation.

I know I ask a lot :P

Well, seems that a simple fix didn't help for one isolated feature. It is somehow dbus related but I don't really know the root cause of the crash yet.

DBus has had a big upgrade: 1.6.30 to 1.10.8 as per this bug:

Yep, can confirm, the /usr/bin/harbour-situations2application server crashed all the time. My situationreboot.service restart it on crash, but it have some limit (I didn't know that) and when limit done, my service show:
Active: failed (Result: start-limit).
For now only Jolla 1 still show me (10hours) that my service is active and /usr/bin/harbour-situations2application server still run in background.
In tablet sometimes it also crashed....
