its possible to deactivate the check wenn you have registered a number, but have the sim card of another number inserted....wihtout sim no problem, with sim, they kick me out and i have to reregister

Well, I missed this. Do we know what is the timetable for how long an old version is allowed? I guess not.

And if so, and if numbers get banned simply for use of a old protocol rather than attempting to register, then this app will get "banned" to extinction unless Yappari is kept at the latest protocol.

Tall order. If is my reasoning flawed?

Interesting comment: For most users it works just ok. Are you sending SPAM? Messages to people who don't have your whatsapp number in their agenda? That triggers wa spam detectors.

This means if you change numbers and use Yappari to communicate with a friend who has your old number in their contacts, then...

mine came on suddenly. nothing to do with numbers or contacts (have not chatted with anyone new in at least 4 weeks). fwiw, the N900 was in my pocket, and when I took it out, found a registration screen welcoming me :)

Does anyone tried to export conversations from Yappari to Whatsup? I've found that both have a .db file in their hidden folders at /home/user

you need to write own export application translating entries from yappari db to whatsup, because they have different structure, obviously

try register with official application, get blocked response, press contact button, it will open email with filled body, do not modify anything and send it.
You should never tell them you used yappari before, tell them you used old Nokia 302 (yappari spoofing registration and connection as Nokia302) before your <phone model you sending request from>.

yes you write here you used Nokia 302 two days ago (correct it with last day when you used yappari actually) and then gave phone to wife/brother/sister, and then got Samsung Galaxy S6 (replace with your phone model you using), and when tried to register, you see blocked (replace with actual text you see). And better do not tell anything anymore like "i never used unofficial apps" or so. Just write them something like: "i do not understand why it stopped working, please help me. i paid for whatsapp at (write here date when you paid for whatsapp) / or ask them maybe you free whatsapp time is ended and you need to pay and ask how to do it". It's better social engineering tricks you can do in this situation :)

Just saw the log. Only WA15 protocol has been updated. Noticed one more thing there. The package in Extras is still v1.1.51? It also has missing dependencies. Well, its of no use anyway.

Hi there!

As you already know, Yappari 2.0.10 was uploaded to extras-devel a few days ago. I'm sorry I couldn't release it earlier nor promote it to extras-testing, but I had what could be described as RFC1149 compliant connection, so anything above typing a few commands through SSH was impossible.

Well, this release only contains one change that was provided by coderus, upgrade to WA15 protocol version.

Coderus has written quite a few posts explaining what to do if you have been banned, but I'd also like to add: people, what are you doing to get banned? I haave not being banned ever, even when testing protocol changes, spamming myself, forcing re-register process, etc. So, really, what are you doing?

Not that it's impossible to get banned, it is, but please do think if you are doing something out of the ordinary and maybe we'll know more about Whatsapp' non official client identification system, so we can all avoid it.
