Yep, having the same issue where I can't see some people's messages in a group chat (picture messages do show up). I can chat with the same people individually 1v1 without problems, though.

I'm now connected again, but not recieving any new messages...

Log reveals a metric ton of encoded messages, gonna try direct messaging 1-2-1 see if that helps

I got myself banned too today for using Whatsup.

I've E-Mailed the Support now, because I couldn't find a way to unban me another way.

By the way, re-registration was what caused the ban for me.

I was banned too, again while trying to reregister as I couldn't connect.

I ended up trying to re-register with the official app, and emailing their support through it. I told them I had problems connecting, so I had reinstalled their app and tried to re-register but it said I was banned.

They replied saying that I was banned as I was using a VOIP or SIP number!!! And also if I wasn't, I needed to reply with a pic of the sim with my phone bill.

I did that but didn't get a reply for a week or so when they said I should register using their app.

After the upgrade I had similar problems:
- couldn't connect, or got quickly disconnected.

After a while (couple of hours), things stabilised and I was able to stay connected.
Then, no way to exchange message, everything I tried sending remained with a "red dot".
But once I asked a nearby friend to msg me (private message), everything back to normal. I received her message, and she received the few message which were wainting with a red dot.

So try to send a message to a friend and ask her/him to reply to it.

WhatsApp has made encryption mandatory, so either the message is needed to make sure that both end-points agree about encryption, or both decide to fall back to non encrypted communication.
(Is axoltl active in the latest whatsup build ?)

Similar situation with the groups:
- by asking people to send me individual messages, I sometime start again to receive them in group discussion.
(Though sometime, after a while it goes back to missing messages).

I've never ever needed to re-register since I have whatsup on my jolla.
(and similarily, never needed to re-register with mojoWhatsup on my WebOS Pre3, until I got definitely disconnected (but not banned) after some update from WhatsApp at a time where development of mojoWhatsup was already abandonned)

Today wu couldn't connect at all. Registration try-out gave response: old version. Unistalled wu (had old version because it worked fine untill today), deleted whatsup.config -file, power off, removed battery for 20 mins. Then power on, downloaded and installed latest version of wu. Voilà, we are online =)

thanks for the info. but for me, i finish it with whatsapp.. now i use Telegram. And i am feeling free :D
