Re: The USA and an attitude to the unofficial Wi-Fi firmware

That info is very disturbing nokiabot.
Unfortunately it is specific to the U.S. and I doubt it would mean a hill of beans if people from other countries post comments [if it is allowed even.] As it seems to be a [national] domestic site pertaining to U.S. citizenry and the point of becoming vocal and speaking out ...for or against... on the topic ...not international.

I hope enough people in the U.S. become informed enough, care enough that the citizenry understands that it will shape the very advancement of U.S. technology and innovation as it is understood.

Overall ..chilling really.

You have no idea of what you're demanding. Not even I have that level of hope.

aw mannn...
I didn't want to address the Godzilla in the room.
I didn't want to be the 1st to say it.
But yeah...even waaaaayyy up here in Canuckland
we see the misinformation deliberate or not, the apathy, the total "so what as long as it doesn't bother me immediately" point-of-view, right down to lack of actual proper edification [let alone] without some band of critics or opposition parties or lobby groups or pinning amendments to bills where there is no hope it will ever be passed. ie- the only way this could be passed to ensure the safety of emerging tech and innovation would be for it to be taped to a bill to restrict gun control. Hence it will never pass. [in the U.S. that is...for now anyway...as an aside ...I do truly hope one day there won't be people using military-grade assault weaponry on one another...]
I watch how good efforts to bring about positive meaningful change are perpetually stymied in the U.S.
We have our own probs here...but they seem pretty small ..and manageable compared to the U.S.'s ...
I feel for you gerbick.

And yeah nokiabot.
there will be a repercussive blow from this globally...
but there are soooo many nations with proper tech advancement and the understanding if you collar innovation...you strangle and stultify it. Hence ...let it be. Monitor it ...but let progress continue as it has been going ..since fire and the wheel....

Interestingly the U.S. [actually lately it is one of the repub. contenders..but the topic in the states comes up every now and again.. ] stated that in addition to a wall between america and mexico ...a wall between america and Canada should be built.
ok.
personally I have no prob with it...good idea...
reduced trade by a 1/3 but we can do more elsewhere...
fewer weapons, crime, drugs, alll sorts of probs because of the border...pretty much gone.
But...
I don't think the walls are meant to keep canadians and mexicans out of the U.S. ...
but rather to make sure that their own people can't flee the country. :D
I'd suggest immigration to B.C. gerbick...
climate is nice...
people are too...
not so many probs either..
start packin' before they start laying the bricks ..:D
