I'm aware of it - sort of. But thanks for the reminder anyways!
My problem is, that I need my N900 to be a working phone. (Currently) Leste can't give me that.
Unfortunately I'm in no position to lend a hand. I know virtually nothing about kernels and drivers.

This device? It's like calling from laptop pushed to your ear.

As sulu said, that would not bother me. IMO people walking around with devices the size of paving slabs pushed to their ears or holding them up to make videos of their kids look much more ridiculous.

Frankly
anything going over the 5" threshold is just ridiculous .
walking around showing off how big one's device is...
is compensating for an inadequacy.

No different than the corvette,
the ghetto blaster,
the size of the hand gun,
the size of the platform shoe,
the size of the shirt lapels,
etc etc etc.

simply pathetic.

sigh...

it is common knowledge of the law of inverse ratios ...

"the larger the [insert item of interest here] ...
the smaller the genitalia of the owner.
and the greater the insecurities..."

"whereas the smaller the [insert item of interest here]...
the larger the genitalia of the owner.
and the greater the security and general well being of the owner"

All this being said...
naturally this was my last phone....

In German, we say that someone has a plank in front of his head, when we want to say that he's a blockhead.
That's what I always think about when I see someone filming with a tablet.

I will say that the larger screens help these aging eyes a bit though.
