Re: Sailfish on Turing Phones?

I heard some (real vague) rumours that TRI actually has already hired some old Nokia employees that used to work in prototype manufacturing. Nothing certain but this actually might become interesting in near future.

Re: Sailfish on Turing Phones?

Now also HS has a quite long article about Turing:

http://www.hs.fi/kotimaa/a1457146835509

They go through the whole history of Turing and it's predecessors, QSAlpha with Quasar IV and QderoPateo with Ouidoo. QderoPateo's webpages have been apparently lately used for adult hentai stuff and selling counterfeit shoes...

Well, at least there is definitely one proven scam for Dave in article. :)

I believe that at the factory site probably would prevail some movement, if they really want to produce in April. Can somebody living/working nearby tell us what's going on there?

And no, I'm expecting any activity there.

Sadly,
Not much happening in Salo Finland these days,
looks like a beautiful daily commute
if there was anything to commute to...

Wish I were there - I do miss cross-country shooshing,
and the steamy hot chocolate*Baileys/Schnapps
in a hot tub after sunset outside in the snow
under a star-studded sky bracketed only by conifers....
(not that I have ever been anywhere near Finland !
Alaska and the Northern Rockies are no substitute)

As the following comment from TRI on their Facebook - page (comment is from 30th March) shows, delivery in April will not happen:
Our phone will ship in May. You will receive an upgrade.

Where did you see this? I just looked at their FaceBook page and only see their latest post from Feb 25th.
And I do see some posts from people in March but Turing's responses do not say anything about postponing it until May.

Uh, that's been pretty obvious for a while now.
