I just want a successor to Jolla 1 with SD and removable battery. FP2 is ideal but Intex will also do.

Hopefully new device "soon"

Jolla 1 has a removable battery ;)

Me too, but with at least 3g network support on some US carrier as well. I'll take Aquafish, Fairfish, Turingfish, Puzzlefish, whatever. I'd even forgo the battery and SD card if I had to. I don't "app" in the current sense -- I use an N9 and N900, so clearly my need for Android compatibility is nonexistent, so I'd sacrifice that, too.

With decreasing battery capacity, I guess I better Frankenstein the N9 with the good battery and case doors and the N9 with the good system board instead if I need something soon instead of Soon™, since with my requirements, Soon™ may never come.

How about a roadmap going forward? At least for software development?

They finally produced one this time last year ... but it's now not been updated for 9 months.

And an SD card.

BTW good job you said 'removable' and not 'replaceable' ;)

I really think that Jolla, if not most phones, should have a global 4G LTE capability. I don't think I would buy it otherwise.

In fairness you can remove the battery from any phone.

Materials:

1) Claw hammer

2) Phone

edit - so this post isn't entirely silly:

I'm with chenliangchen, in that my main 'dealbreaker' is a non-removable (erm... you know what I mean) battery. In fact I probably would have bought the Yotta Phone 2 instead of the Jolla if it had had one. I don't regret taking a punt on the Jolla now, of course (although sometimes it tries my patience :) )

You have probably seen this, but it has some info on what 4g bands the 'aquafish' has.

If its true, not good for USA?

Not so good, right. Unless you're in an area served by "U.S. Cellural", which I assume is US Cellular, which serves some of the Upper Midwest and a few other limited areas. You might be SOL on GSM elsewhere.

More promises...

Will anyone even care when (or if) they actually have something to release?

Thanks! Might work via At&t or US Cellular in certain areas including where I live. Will have to check it out further.
