Re: Build our own device
All enso said was that it is time to stop jabbering. Either shut up and do it or just shut up. The endless discussions will lead nowhere. Again.
I must say that this is a sentiment I can 100% identify with. |

I agree its a little nauseating at times but ultimately if you dont like it then stop paying attention, or go buy a headphone-jackless iphone and get on with your life. |
Re: Build our own device
Well, just found old Xperia x10 mini pro.
Let's see if it's possible to port sailfish ... |
Re: Build our own device
Perhaps HTC Desire Z? I know nothing about porting anything to anywhere, but as I have never had any Nokia smartphones, Desire Z is the best I have ever seen/used/owned.

Re: Build our own device
Yep, I was just thinking if it would be possible at all. Because "the Z" haven't been mentioned here yet. Didn't expect you to do it, although I might have a spare phone ;)

Re: Build our own device
Definitely The Path Of Least Pain is finding a device with a rock-solid CM port and moving on from there.
Building devices is going to be hellish, there are many tales of dealing with Chinese manufacturers (Pandora, Jolla etc) and it is just kinda reinventing the wheel. |
Re: Build our own device
But that's the problem, every device released in the past five years is exactly the same thing. This hypothetical device would be different in a couple of aspects, at least.
