And so does the Xperia X Compact.

Im pretty sure on for an X Compact. Even a bit smaller than Jolla 1. With slightly bigger screen and longer lasting battery. I now it is non removable, still even if you can remove Jolla 1 battery, the effort to search for a spare is as much...

Compatibility.

USB C is a problem for the same reason, BTW.

Usually you can get a sleeve to insert the nano-sim card in if you must use it in an archaic device.

Sadly it will be the standard for future devices.

Why not just having adapters with you? I know it is a pain for now but you have to make the switch in long term, why not starting at this one?

My carrier gave my a sort of nesting doll-type piece of plastic with different SIM card sizes, so I can use nano SIM in my onePlus X, micro SIM in my N9, or regular SIM in my N900.

Isn't it just a matter of putting more/less plastic around the contacts to make it fit the different sizes? When I got a new SIM card a few years back, I could just pop what I needed out of the full-size card. Going back from a smaller to a larger size you'll need a plastic 'adapter', but that's just like SD cards and all the different sizes found there.

Edit: oops, looks like three others already said the same!
