Yes, it does work under OS2008 and you can cache the articles on the memory cards as this is exactly what I do.

In the OS2008 RSS reader you can import your feeds from google. Go to your google reader settings page and find the button to export your feeds. Then transfer that file to your N810 (or you could do it right on the N810) and open it in the RSS browser. The UI for selecting the feeds you want is kind of strange, I think you have to go through all the lists and check off all the feeds you'd like to add.

Now if there was just a way to sycn Google Reader and the default RSS app it would be great.

I wish someone could just make a Google Reader app for the N810, is that possible?

That would be great. We had something similar with Bloglines 770 but the development stopped with OS2006 :(

When you have a feed selected click "Download" and all the articles in that feed will be downloaded. Selecting an individual article and then clicking "View" will display the downloaded version in the web browser. Note you must have "On-line" un-ticked in the menu for the cached version to be shown.

Trying to solve the import-to claws-RSSyl-from-Google Reader problem for myself, I found this advice from Darla Mack:

"It wa simple enough process to exporrt my feeds from GReader. The file saves with a .xml extension. Rename it to .opml to import it into Claws. Each feed is seperated by its own folder. If like me, many of my feeds are grouped into general catagories. I recomment loading the previouslymentioned HTML plugin, it makes reading RSS (essecntially mini-web pages) much easier.

RSSyL could use some ability to easily manage your Feeds, cluding rearranging feeds into categories, integration into Claws menu structure. To use most of the plugins features requires a right click (tap and hold) with the stylus. As with much software in the opensource world documentaion is somewhat lacking. Don't be afaid to play around a bit to get your RSS your way."

This worked very well for me - even put the feeds into folder trees based on the folder structure they had in Google Reader.
