Got mcetool to work after installing mce-tools.

Does anyone know if there's still a battery malfunction while using tap to wake under Sailfish X? :)

Could you sum the steps for flash + the needed things on linux and path for your version. There are a lots of discussions and the whole thing has become fragmented.

thanks

Re: Sailfish OS on Sony Xperia X (community build)

Actually, no, there are missing pieces, where does the flash.sh come from. Any requirements for platform on linux?
For flashing itself the first page is ok, but all the other stuff is fragmented over this forum.
maybe in make file there are insructios, but in that case descriptin what your make does would be good.

The downloading / downgrading android version? Does make do the downgrade + saving the DRM?
What about boitloader unlock as prequisite?

am not aware of the "other stuff" so any links or examples would be appreciated

you dont need to do anything about downgrading or downloading android version. I dont care about DRM keys, if thats your thing go ahead theres plenty of info on XDA about that.

the flash.sh? it comes from the compressed file you download then extract.

and as to the bootloader unlock, thats just a given.

I found, that the /usr/sbin/mount-sd.sh script ist missing. Try the "Bleeding edge sd-utils" from openrepos.net. They replace the mount-sd.sh and it should work after reboot.

Is it possible to get more space for the rootfs. The 2.4GB are short, 5GB are better to use the system as daily phone, I think.

Code:

Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
rootfs                2.4G  2.3G  106M  96% /
/dev/sailfish/root    2.4G  2.3G  106M  96% /

Just checking to make sure. Do I need to flash the latest image or do I get the same changes with zypper ref, zypper dup?

Compass doesn't seem to work. Tried all three compass applications in the Jolla store.
Probably not very useful/necessary for most people, but difficult to live without for me on cloudy days when the sun or stars are not visible.

double tap to wake fix

After flashing the image available about 1 week ago (when this topic was 3-4 pages long) i refreshed the other days the repos and updated the available packages, added bluetooth support :-), and also applied the mcetool commands for double tap.

I use this now as my main phone and functionality is pretty ok with the known limitations, of course. Thanks a a lot for the image!

Double tap works (it is more 3+ taps - but that's ok). Now the only thing is that the phone display wakes up without any obvious reason (once or twice a minute), like after the double tap. Does anybody experience the same behaviour?

I tried also, but I get error code:

Somebody the same?

Hi, Let me introduce myself to you. I am a silent watcher on this great site for years since my first N9. I am not a developer or anywhere near there, but I still managed to follow almost regularly whats happening here. I love Nokia phones but not Android. That's the reason I am here. I use Jolla 1 and AquaFish with SFOS as my daily driver.
I found a news reported on the following link that Nokia is willing to unlock their new Android devices, one at a time.

https://nokiapoweruser.com/hmd-willi...nokia-android/

Is it possible at all to see SFOS ported to New Nokia phones when they unlock bootloaders?

Anything is possible, but I wouldn't bank on it. A lot more is required than just an unlocked bootloader: chipset compatibility/blobs/drivers, hoping there's either vendor support or some kind of program like with Sony and Jolla, or some brave adventurers making strides in the HADK.

I fif the upgrade and the icons of Jolla apps are gone. Additionally, some icons in the keyboard (back, shift etc) and at the top (LTE, WiFi etc) are missing...

What's is everyone thoughts on getting an android runtime going. I plan on getting the official supported AD, however I am thinking of people that can't purchase because of country restrictions or other limitations. We have sf-droid and anbox. Anyone skilled enough to look into getting this a shot?

Go into fastboot mode and run fastboot boot recovery hybris-recovery.img (obviously while in the directory of the hybris-recovery.img) to boot into recovery. (if you've flashed hybris-recovery.img you can also boot into recovery by holding volume-down while turning the device on) Everything after that is exactly like on other Jolla devices.

Yeah, I got that far, I was just unable to telnet into the device using the IP listed on Jolla's documentation. The ethernet device it created got a 192.168.2.x address. I nmapped the range to find other devices up, and found the phone on .15. Still no telnet. Seems a little odd to me, but I'll experiment with it. Thanks! :)

I'd probably just restore the device to stock using the usual android methods before following Sony/Jolla's official flashing procedure.
