Today a video has been put up in the Youtube by Accion / Jala that looks like a launch event:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGiw...re=youtu.be&a=

Also a web site http://accione.com/#/es/home is up with a professional appearance.

Looks like Sailfish is really picking up :)

Disclaimer: my Spanish isn't native, so I may be getting some of this wrong.

It doesn't look like a launch to me, I think that is still in the future (although maybe not far off). Their web page doesn't mention availability, just an invitation to subscribe to their newsletter. He is making a big deal about the phone being designed by Latin Americans for Latin Americans, and running an OS that is under their control. A couple of other points:

He describes a trade-in scheme where they will recondition and resell the traded-in phones. Their control over the whole manufacturing process makes this possible.

He compares their music offering (BaseOne) to Apple's, saying that music is really important to Latin Americans and BaseOne will reflect this. It will be the same quality as Apple's.

I'll leave a more detailed English summary to someone whose Spanish is better than mine. ;)

I have read some of his other publicity material, and I have to admire the guy's commitment. I don't think that he will ditch SFOS if the going gets tough.

Since the 13th the website got nicer, that's right (I'm targeting accione rather than Xperia) As far as I know, they are already selling the basic model (in their shops), and next month they start selling Accione P. (all infos from their FB account).
They plan to sell out of bolivia too, would like to know the timing. I could just write them and ask how long wil it take to get it in europe. Let's see, we'll always have Ebay if anything else goes wrong.

Just noticed that the jollareview has good description of Jala's plans and the devices. They inform that the Accione phone runs on android, but on three Jala shops in three towns in Bolivia on can choose Sailfish and an early adopter.

Let us hope Jala manages to do well all three different things: new devices, Sailfish development for Latin America and music streaming service.

Professional unboxing video by Jala has been published

Did not see any mention of the operating system, Sailfish appears in the leaflet.

My sister in law just went to the la paz store to pick up an accione p for me.
It looks like they are solely available running android at the moment. The sailfish release is planned for march as per info from the shop.
Don't know if i can then reflash my now android accione p, but i will see.
