Re: Big-time Rant of the N800

For me it was not. But that's just me :0)
Good luck to you if you decide to buy one. hopefully you have good luck like some of the other people in here.
For context, I did end up getting the iPAQ...

Re: Big-time Rant of the N800

Good show, Moonshine. At least I don't push away people who don't know much about the subject. My N800 experience turned into a beta test. That's only because the product just doesn't provide me with...

Re: Lousy experience on Nokia N800

Yes, I assume he also has a few action figures in his drawers.
(And I'm not talking about his cabinet or dresser, either!)

And to Bod- Darth Vader's lightsaber is out of scale. :D

Re: Poll: Should Nokia take the ITOS more seriously?

Sorry I didn't add that as a choice. I would have, but thought you could toss it in under one of the bottom three (the last choice would have worked.)
I loved/hated my N800 for a few weeks. Then...

Re: Lousy experience on Nokia N800

LMFAO, ROtF, and all that!:D
But at least he showed some semblance of reason in his last post. I am impressed.

Re: Big-time Rant of the N800

And that was the point to all this drivel. I sure hope Nokia can pull it all together and build on a really decent product to create a more ubiquitous platform. I liked the N800 despite it's faults....

Re: Big-time Rant of the N800

Hey, Frank. I just returned mine for cash. I'll be cruising for an iPaq 111 tonight, so should have in within a week. That's fine with me :0)
Sorry to hear about your issues. I'm hoping threads like...

Re: Lousy experience on Nokia N800

We don't see eye to eye, and I have a feeling the sentiment extends out to many other users here. Good for you, the IT works and makes you happy. Good for you, so smart and arrogant that you don't...

Re: Unable direct recharging

Are you using the original charger supplied with the device? Aftermarket chargers and usb adapters might not have enough output to power the device up, or allow it to charge properly. I only ask...

Re: Aircrack again - questions

I also agree, with aplomb. I would use it for getting access to a WEP encrypted network that I might be tasked to administer by affiliates that need assitance. Or how about the new customer you just...

Re: Lousy experience on Nokia N800

Well I feel the same. You can do the WM iPaqs, they do offer a bunch of new features if your last WM device was 2003SE or earlier. There are a host of new apps available to help out with web use too,...

I've been there and done that;) I've been on your site many times before and after purchase!
Thanks for the useful input and dedication.
And thanks to the two posters above for helpful input:D

Re: Poll: Should Nokia take the ITOS more seriously?

Space? That's what this is all about. You fear that there will be so much traffic and so many threads that this forum will become cluttered. The "stay on point and on course" cop. It's okay, I've...

Re: Big-time Rant of the N800

Nope, your comment wasn't taken as a "dig" by me anyway.
As for the thumboard, it was in reference to the WM devices. I love the fact that IT2008 has a thumb-board and this gives IT2008 a point in...

Re: Big-time Rant of the N800

Dear Zeusenergy,
I'm talking to myself today to make it apparent how foolish I can be and mock myself for being cynical and sarcastic in so many ways. Too many people these days take things ever so...

Re: Big-time Rant of the N800

Yeah, the "geeking" certainly charmed me too.
And IT2008 DOES address some of the nagging buried menus or running programs, and silly nonsensical stylus-centric use for a passive touchscreen! Why...

Re: Big-time Rant of the N800

Good call. I don't like the iTouch myself, but average Janes and Joes will get the most for their dollar and state-of-mind there.

Re: Big-time Rant of the N800

Oh no, I wouldn't use the BROWSER in portrait mode, but some other apps are better in this mode than landscape. Such as music playback... Holding a device in portrait is more comfortable and better...

Re: Poll: Should Nokia take the ITOS more seriously?

Exactly. It was mainly for fun. Every choice but the top one leads to ineptitude on Nokia's part. The topic of the poll is the part to pay attention to.
EDIT: Not everyone is attracted to logic...

Re: Poll: Should Nokia take the ITOS more seriously?

Again, I think it may be best to return it for refund and get the iPaq 111.
I won't have a "great" internet experience, but with Opera on it at least it will be more reliable and usable. I never...

Re: Poll: Should Nokia take the ITOS more seriously?

Yep. So far I think it's more like their Windows ME!
It's only Nokia that's failing here. A little organization and support is all we ask ;)
