Re: Maemo + Moblin = MeeGo

I don't like the happy-colorful-mainstream-people image of the MeeGo page. It feels like the os will be idiot-proof and not "hackable" anymore.
It's still Linux, so I got some hope left ;-)

Re: Learn coding maemo

Don't start with the Maemo SDK, this is far too complicated and powerful for starting programming with python. You don't need it. Just get your python-code working on your machine, copy it to your...

Re: How to check if device is USB/PC mode?

Re: [Hackers/Devs Only] Collection of Low-Level Config-Files / Tools

Does anybody know whether mounting /usr makes the system eventually slower? If it doesn't this would be a quite good permanent solution for getting rid of space problems.

Re: [Hackers/Devs Only] Collection of Low-Level Config-Files / Tools

In first, it was a space issue. What I did was to softlink /var/cache/apt/archives to /opt/archives (worked). But still the package installation process (probably decompressing or sth) filled up my...

Re: screen brightness occilation?

Re: pinch to zoom for n900

I also think pinch zooming is some idea of apple which is mainly interesting for marketing because it LOOKS intuitive and cool. But IMHO in reality, it is quite uncomfortable to do this motion with...

Re: Fahrplan app for maemo (Germany)

What I like is that it opens and works so incredibly fast, using fahrplan is much faster than open the homepage in the browser... I think there is much potential in this app :-)
