This solution worked beautifully for me, many thanks!
I suspect the issue had something to do with USA Daylight Savings Time ending on Nov 3rd, the start of the email problems certainly coincided...

Smile N9 - turn on SIP only over wifi

There used to be a N900 application that would turn SIP sessions on if the WIFI connection was on and turn the SIP session off if not.
That app was really handy. Is there an equivalent N9 app...

Seeing the 64 GB N9 retailing for approx $250 these days, I finally gave in and jettisoned my Palm Pixi in favour of an N9.
