Re: Help Seting Up VNC......!?!

So, regarding VNC, TightVNC and UltraVNC will connect me to the server, but will I see what the local client would see (I mean on a UNIX box)? Or would I need x11vnc for that? Which would let me be...

Re: N800 - Wifi problem. Cannot detect router at home

True. But I guess the point is not to thwart attacks, but to deter them. A home network will never be attacked, except by opportunistic wardrivers. If my neighbors have unsecured WiFi and I have WEP...

Re: How to log into a hidden network?

Re: N800 - Wifi problem. Cannot detect router at home

Regarding WEP, just use MAC address filtering. Oh, and my $.02 on this whole thing: pre-N sucks. I will not (voluntarily) use until it's an approved specification. Otherwise, look what happens. It's...

Re: N800 questions

To the best of my knowledge (which is quite limited,as I haven't even ordered the n800 yet) the OS is based on Debian, but the n800 uses an ARM processor, not a x86 one (what you find in all modern...

Re: How to log into a hidden network?

My school uses a hidden network for extra security (not a bad idea, it's actually recommended for a private network). Of course, this can sometimes cause problems for Linux devices. It's great to...

Re: n800 at onsale.com $199. (Special promo)

I bookmarked it, but I don't think OnSale is a very reputable company. I'm especially wary that they offer the device for two different prices. Which are they going to charge to my card? A company...

Re: Igo BlueTooth Keyboard 29.99

The $27.99 deal was a 'Gold Box Special' (which has since expired, I think). The regular price is back up to $59.95. But I'm sure the n800 and bluetooth keyboards will continue to fluctuate in price...
