Re: comic viewer?

I just unpack the images into a directory and use "scp -r" to copy it from my home machine. "wget -r" would work too. Then, I use the image viewer.

My problem usually is that the resized images...

remember gmplayer

I remember there's a GUI called gmplayer, so you don't have to package just mplayer as a command-line utility. I haven't used it, but judging from the number of "I can't find ./mplayer" complaints a...

At least nokia.com had the 770 on their front page for a bit, that's how I found out about it (while looking at the 9300).

memory prices

Memory prices are so ridiculously low, though, that the 64 MB difference couldn't have been more than $20. I would have gladly paid that for a more stable device.

The 770 certainly wasn't...

thanks for the info

That's unfortunate. I don't know why Nokia didn't go for 128 MB internal memory at least, but 64MB makes the 770 much less useful than it could be.

internal memory HW upgrade?

Is it possible to pull out the current 64 MB memory and install a larger one? I'm not afraid of soldering, I just don't know 1) the kind of memory, 2) how easy it is to remove, and 3) whether the...

770encode.pl on Windows

Yes. I just posted version 1.1 which eliminated the AppConfig dependency and added some help, contact info, and a license... That should work with Cygwin Perl or ActiveState Perl. Just make sure...

770encode.pl

For various reasons, I prefer Perl to Java. Easy source code availability and modifications, for example... I wrote a program that is similar to the Media Converter called 770encode.pl. It...
