resolution should not be the problem but it might be that you have some .png that I belive N900 doesnt support.
Get Mp3tag it is great. simple to fix tags and albumart.

Small tip in Music Player (that I just discovered)
In "Now Playing" tap the albumart to show list of songs on album, tap again to go back to "Now Playing"

Thats the old Ni-Cd batteries that need to be drained. The New Lithium batteries does not need this, Accually they should not be drained completly, but the phone powers off before that happens. So...
