Unfortunately this didn't work. I believe it is as TA-t3 suspected, and that it is a hybrid WEP+PEAP system.

I actually have been trying something like that out:

WPA with EAP --> PEAP --> no certificates, EAP MSCHAPv2 --> then my user name and password

At this point, it will not auto-connect to the...

My school's WiFi requires a combination of encryption/authentication that is not natively available in the "new connections" tab. Is there any way to set this up through the command console?

I would be very interested in this feature as well, if only on GSM/3G. Battery life takes a huge hit when I remain connected to the network, likely due to the radio constantly searching for signal.
