Does the N900 have any "search" facility to search through files / contacts / appointments / music / emails etc in the "Out of the box" configuration?

Good effort.. but probably will not please the one-handed guys :)

Not to mention that there will be a learning curve involved to get used to a non-standard layout. More fodder to those who want to...

A limited, but finished, release for SMS, Phone and Calender would work just fine for me too.
Ofcourse this means that the dashboard too would probably need to rotate.
