From the images that you posted, the media player probably has a problem with the audio codec being mpga. I've actually never heard of that codec so it might be that.
mplayer works from xterminal....

The "quality" of mine is fine as well but I do have an issue with low volume. On every call, I have to put the volume on max and its still low. I know there is another thread about that issue. I hope...

I also have the same Even More Plus plan, and had the exact same experience. The rep had to call it in and have it zeroed out on my bill as well :)
