I changed the time zone to Brasilia, Brazil (closest I could find to Recife) -- and now it works!! :D

Who'd have thunk it? My system time is now 4 time zones away from mine, but I can live with...

duh. The pc-side software has a checkbox that must be seet for network connection. Once you do that, it works!! (as if by magic :D)

I can't get hotsync to work over my network connection.

On the N800, I filled in Hostname & pressed "Start HotSync" button. Nokia responds "Launching sync thread". But nothing happens after that....

Thanks, that worked. It wasn't hard to do at all. They offer instructions on installing the repository.

Not sure how they got there, but some Navicore folders are already on my internal SD card. However, Map software doesn't see them.

Media player audio format confusion

Media Player help document says they consider Real Player format "ra" to be an audio format, yet when I download from my PC to my N800, Media Player treats it as a video file.

Only way I get it...

Well, the guy I bought from did say he would throw in a 4 Gb card & keyboard, but I thought it came sealed, so that threw me off.

I got my new M800 4/12/2008, second-hand, but never opened (still in sealed plastic).

It came with about a 4 gig card in the external slot, but no card under the rear panel. Is this normal?
