Call me naive, but I don't see how anyone can get by with a 5Mb monthly quota. To test I have saved the current page on my desktop. It is 404Kb! So all I may do in a whole month is to view 15 web...

It will be just as good if I can do it over Voice. All I want is to browse some webpages. No reason for me to get a full-blown $60 data package.

I will need to stay with Verizon for another while but I am now entitled for a new phone. I want to be able to access the internet though DUN on my n800. It seems my best shot is to get a $15 VCAST...

No there is no [1] in the original filename. It is a standard windows behavior to indicate another copy already exists locally.

What's responsible for the power-on must be a very low level process. So I guess it does not have too much to do with 'cron'. Now what would be a N800 equivalent of 'BIOS' or 'PROM' OR 'NVRAM'?

I have updated my n800 to the lastest firmware version and started experiencing the 'midnight boot' problem. I ran the 'retutime' and there is no hidden alarm.
Anything else I can try?

Thank you guys! I was able to install it and the vpnc_gui.
The vpnc_gui loads fine but I am not able to connect with it. The vpnc under xterm used to work fine.
Now I have given up trying anything...

Clearing MyDoc did not solve the problem. I had to reflash and now the delay is normal again.

My N800 froze in the middle of a video clip. After quitting Media Player it became unresponsive so I powered it off. Now everytime I reboot there is a 3 minutes white screen after the Nokia splash...
