Nokia 330 to be 770 successor?

I just read this story, about a new Nokia device to be the 770 successor.

Is this true? Will the 770 become unsupported and obsolete?

I have tried the previous version, tried to uninstall it, but it refuses to. It's no longer listed as an 'installed application', but it is still there on my menu. It has the Maemo default icon...

Update:
Yesterday afternoon I removed the bluetooth plugin and left the 770 on overnight. This morning it was still on.

Could it be something related to this plugin??

Turns off and cannot turn back on

I've been experiencing a weird behavior on my 770 for the past week or two. I leave it turned on with the cover in place, and after a couple of hours it has turned off. I cannot turn it back on...

My approach is pretty much what Andrew describes. Only difference is that I'm using (so far) the files in the exact same format as DejaPIM. Also, instead of a daemon noticing the changes, I do that...

I have talked to them, and there are updates planned. However, the way I see it, is that they are a company with a strong portfolio of apps that provide direct synchronization with portable devices....
