No problems with the 8830 staying up in modem mode for an extended time. I use #777 phone# as username and vzw. I'm on the same version of software as you are for both devices.

50-2 on the tablet...

I had the same problem where the about:config stopped loading. I had added some new software.. not sure what it was now. I completed a restore from backup from a previous week, and it started working...

I've had success pairing the 810 now with Verizon on both an XV6800 WM6 and the 8830 Blackberry. Also paired with Nokia N95 on TMO... the only issue has been with the 8830 on Verizon, I needed to...

You can run DD-WRT, and setup multiple, linked access points with "WDS" .. works great for extending coverage around a large area without running cable.
