Re: N810 touch screen dead, what is it good for now?

Wow, I totally should have thought of that. I just bought second hand iBook to turn into a photoframe. So now I need to teach myself a how to program for Maemo and write something that checks an...

I'm at the dismantle-to-find-the-loose-connection stage now, but I can't get the screen off. I've undone all the screws I can see. Has there been a How To guide on this? I can't find via Google under...

I called them while I was in California on Sept 3rd and the instructional email that should have taken "3-5 hours" still hasn't turned up. I didn't get much traction until I responded pretty harshly...

Well I got mucked around by the service dept at first. The email with instructions for sending it back never came, they keep asking for the IMEI number for my "phone" and they ignore me when I say...

But what good is such a tiny desktop computer when I have a full sized one here anyway? I like the X11vnc idea, but I'm not sure what I can do with it after that. I doubt it is any good as a media...

        Hey folks,
My N810's touch screen recently died. For a little while it lost calibration, or sensitivity, but now it's totally dead. The image is still there, but no clicks register. I have found...

I have the 2000 and it fits the N810 but it's loose. A simple foam pad holds it tight and I'll be slicing the foam open to store SD cards in.

Are you asking for a command to list the files, or saying the command you use isn't working?

"ls -al" works just fine for me.

Is POI a format? As far as I'm aware, and I work for a fairly large personal/in-car navigation company, POIs are things, not a format. GPX is a format. So saving it 'as a POI" doesn't make it clear...
