I am having the same issue. Could please specify the file we need to edit? I looked at both "bootmenu.conf" and "android.ext.item" under "etc" but couldn't see a "^M" anywhere.

Yep, that sounds right. I think I had clicked on Call notify.

Is there a page where all the PR 1.2 bugs are being organized and then dissected to find the cause?

No its a bug. Even I could not open anything in the Settings despite the fact that I had reflashed the eMMC as well. Reflashed both again and now it works. BUG!

Update: Flashed Global FW to replace India FW. Scrolling in menu is faster, Skype also shows up. WTF is up the India FW?

Even I have the same issue. No birthdays. Plus conversations widget is not working for a friend. It won't show up in the widgets menu.

Even I have painfully slow scrolling in the Menu. A real pain once you have a lot of apps installed.

There is no need to change the user agent. Just bookmark http://facebook.com/home.php and use this to get to the full version.

Nokia Messaging works for me without an issue in India. Weird issue, you could try flashing the device as a last resort.
