  No, I am currently with Optus, where it only shows 2G (no 3G connection anywhere)
  I used my gf's simcard, who is on telstra, and I got 3.5g
  I bought a vodaphone simcard, and I only had 2G

  yes, but how do you explain the fact that both Optus and Vodaphone 3g doesn't work on my phone?

  ok both Vodaphone and Optus's 3G network do not work, only telstra's gets 3G.. What does this mean?
