To put these figures into perspective,
a single LED
typically draws about 0.05W. And I mean the small red/yellow/green indicator type LEDs you'll find on the front of a lot of consumer electronics. You'd be hard pressed to spot one from a distance, even in the dark. Yet this puny power consumption doesn't stop the cell tower from seeing the N9 over kilometre distances, or vice versa. Truly astonishing.
