This is why HildonPannableArea (http://maemo.org/api_refs/5.0/5.0-fi...nableArea.html) has the \\\"hscrollbar-policy\\\" and \\\"vscrollbar-policy\\\" properties; it\\\'s up the application\\\'s developer if they wish to set them to GTK_POLICY_ALWAYS for a scrollbar instance in an application. Personally, not being able to drag the scrollbars used in the PannableArea is a major source of annoyance for me - try going to the end of http://mg.pov.lt/maemo-irclog/%23mae...12-08.log.html in the Maemo Browser... Barring that, one could always modify hildon-pannable-area.c in libhildon to always show the scrollbars, regardless of the policy...
