If we install it this way we won't get the update when it's available right? Cause we already have it or will it pop up still to update the theme?

EDIT: By the way, do we have to be on another theme to do this? Or we could still have the theme on and it will work as long as we reboot?

To answer my EDIT question, no need to change theme before making changes.
