As some of you might have already noticed, there is a shiny new version of PyQt in extras-devel. The single biggest notable difference for Maemo devs is the fact that it is the first PyQt version that supports QtMobility, and - lo and behold, you can now download PyQt compatible bindings for those too (see python2.5-mobility-[modulename]) ! The mobility support is naturally experimental (=plenty of known issues, and QtMobility 1.0 is not the most bug-free library on the planet anyway ), so play with it a bit, compare with PySide and report back so I could stabilize it and then promote to extras-testing.
