I haven't touched that "install skype button" which comes on device.
I have only done it via the catalogues.
Never had a prob with it.
If you can't install it via app. man.
And if all you need are those skype bits.
I have 'em tucked away.

also when I've used skype the last few years it has only been on diablo turbo installs...since turbo has better battery management and cool shet etc...
If you aren't using diablo turbo... but just stock diablo...that may be a factor. Not sure.
