First I though answer that this forum is for Maemo OS not S30+ OS (here is section competive devices and OSs: https://talk.maemo.org/forumdisplay.php?f=4 ), but second though the Java Me is related to Maemo, because there is some solutions run Java Me software in N900 and even to me would be nice to know how about another Maemo devces?

What model is your Nokia?

if it has JavaME compatible phone, should run even IRC-client:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/jmi...rc/jmIrc-0.97/
download that .jar file
or if it needs .jad files (normally older phones) then try this:
https://jmirc.sourceforge.net/download.html

Then you know does it need .jar or .jad JaveME files. There is floating around internet those files. I am more interested in how to program new JavaME apps in 2024. If somebody know can give direction how to start..I am interested.

EDIT: read more below about Nokia 225 4G and JavaMe

Actually..I am not sure that Nokia 225 4G (2020 or 2024 model) has full JavaME compability..does somebody know for sure?

EDIT: It seems that Nokia 220 4G is JavaME compatible, but Nokia 225 4G is not..can some Nokia 225 4G owner confirm this and say was your model from 2020 or this year model.

I read that HMD/Nokia removed support for J2Me apps on phones that came after the Nokia 3310 3G, so that would be the last phone that allowed installing apps (I have the 3310 3G from a few years ago and I was able to install apps). In the Nokia 225 4G 2020 (I don't remember the year, but it is the penultimate Nokia 225 4G) you can't; and in the Nokia 2024 I don't think you can.

HMD doesn't seem to be interested in having apps installed on their basic phones (except those with the KaiOS system).
