Is this as easy as it looks? I installed 2007HE onto the 770, then followed the maemo wikis to get it onto the memory card.

But it took 3 or 4 attempts, and most of the guides say from a clean install it takes 15 minutes to copy everything over, but for me it took over 2 hours!

So I thought it would be good to clone the entire media card to my PC, if something goes wrong I can just clone it back. I used Disk utility on OS X to make a DMG of the entire flash card. Is that it? Or will it fail to work because of something I'm not taking into account?

Has anyone else done this?
