I believe the RTCOMM beta is only meant to be installed and used on ITOS2008, so that might be the reason why people on IT2007 are having so many problems with stuff that I have working.

You are mentioning later that you have the 2008OS (here is the 2007 thread!) so maybe the backslash has worked for you and now you have the other problem..
