Ditto ... I'll be able/willing to seed the N810 image, too, once I can find a torrent to latch onto.

I was just on the phone with two network engineers who told me they're monitoring BitTorrent traffic and full image downloads in response to all of us allowing downloads, seeds, and peering.

Congrats, folks! Nokia's overburdened image servers is overflowing to our personal ISPs.

I downloaded from this torrent last night as I couldn't get any joy with the official nokia site. I've flashed my 1 day old N800 and running OS2008 as we speak. I'm also helping out by seeding the file.

According to the post on maemo.org, the files are:

N810: RX-34_2008SE_2.2007.50-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin
N800: RX-34_2008SE_2.2007.50-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin

I notice that the links in this thread refer to the -2 variant, yet people are calling it the N800 file. How can I confirm which is correct?

when you follow through http://maemo.org/midcom-permalink-69...74c6dc13691369 to get the n800 firmware you get a directory with firmware images listed in my post above. the -2 version is there. i have installed it on my n800 and it is working fine.

Most of us have been using the N810 beta versions of the FW for quite a while, and I know they work fine. I'm just wondering why there is a different version now that they've gone "final". Does the -1 variant have anything removed, like support for the sliding keyboard perhaps?

People that already downloaded it should seed.
Seeding here at 60Kb/s up

Never mind, I figured out what was different. Too many _2, _1, -2, etc. in the names. The correct names are:

N810: RX-44_2008SE_2.2007.50-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin
N800: RX-34_2008SE_1.2007.50-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin

So it looks like people are downloading the correct one for the N800 after all. But there's also a link to a file on the Maemo.org site:

RX-34_2008SE_2.2007.50-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin

Note that it's 2.2007, not 1.2007. The Nokia site is saying that you need 1.2007 for the N800. The 2.2007 file downloads pretty quick, though. Anyone know if it's older/newer?
