Fair enough. I'm going to get my thoughts in order, maybe search for a few links I have browsed in the past, and if noone else does it, I'll start a thread in "General" (I'm sure the mods will move it if it turns out to be more relevant elsewhere)

PS. I'm not surprised by that linked article at all - especially vis-a-vis Apple apps. I'm reminded of the Princess Leia quote "the more you tighten your grip, the more star systems will slip through your fingers"

In short: you can develop closed source applications with Qt for free thanks to the LGPL license. If you have something you want to release *right now* then use the Qt 4.5 port. If you are just getting started then you'd better plan for the official Qt 4.6 port that will give you the best compatibility path to Maemo 6 + other platforms.
