I am using PIM on N900. And no, you are not alone.
Although I am happy with my N900, now I see how well Palm designed the user interface of its PIM applications.

I am managing non-work tasks in http://www.toodledo.com, since that is accessible from multiple computers and is not tied to my device.

The Palm task functionality was awesome, particularly if you added DateBk6. If you're really missing that functionality, you can get it by running the Garnet Palm emulator and Palm software inside...

I've voted for your bug, but you'll get more votes if 1) you add it to your .sig and 2) you post here, helping other folks. That way they'll see that the bug exists, and more votes leads to more development priority.

PIM (personal information manager) = contacts, calender and tasks and notes. and the ability to edit, add descriptions and search them and manipulate reminders. the n900 falls short in this regard of even Nokias low end OS simbian 40 phones.

Has anyone found a working solution for using tasks synced with outlook on the n900? (one that dosen't require a third party web app.)
I am looking to sink outlook tasks and descriptions with my 900.

Big fail - no task descriptions on the "best smartphone of the world"?! I would never imagine that this can be real. Hey - we have the year 2010 und not 1850. Is there any other non-maemo smartphone that CAN NOT sync task descriptions to Outlook, etc ? I think not - because we have 2010.
