I just saw a boot screen video app and in the link there are 5 or 6 of same version that is 0.1. Anybody please tell me how to install this app on N900 and which one to b downloaded?

yeah . i tried it and it doesn't work. it installs but not in my app window.. to many threads to look at ..

Look under Settings in the personalization category.

Btw, Can't find it != doesn't work.

no one never answered this question on the original thread what are the video settings and suggested encoder that you use to make your boot video?

i think it would be either:

container: mp4
video: mp4, 800*480 px, 1X00 kbps, 2X fps
audio: mp4a (aac), various bit- and samplerate

or

container: avi
video: h264, 800*480 px, 1X00 kbps, 2X fps
audio: mp3?, various bit- and samplerate

(in my opinion the audio isn't as important as the video because the speakers aren't that good compared to the brilliant display ^^)

just play around a bit and find your own settings

i got avi . how do i change it to mp4. so i can play that format ?? sorry i am really dumb .. ok.not dumb but new !!
