I did a backup via backupmenu from my N900 (root and opt). This device has PR1.3 CSSU, Power kernel. Now I want to clone another N900 from scratch (which means: it is brand new). I know from another N900 that the fresh bought devices have a PR1.2 installed and ask for a PR1.3 OTA update after connecting to the net.

I guess that installing backupmenu on the new machine and restore on the fresh machine may fail: PR1.3 does an update of the gsm firmware and the power kernel is not stored in root/opt??

What must be considered for a cloning procedure? Install PR1.3, install kernel, than backupmenu? Anything else?
