As I have put some big warnings in the OP (including: make a backup), I assume the persons who try it are smart enough. But I will add it, just in case someone ignores the warning.

BTW, I would not find it a bad idea if the CSSU team also addressed this subject, just like they updated the (compromised) certificates.

And I would like to have this post together with those about the fraudulent certs (and others?) alltogether in a section (maybe new sub-forum?). Already asked for it.
I do see these as absolutely important to the security/state-of the OS, not only for CSSU user, but all.
