designer concepts. I've seen at least two flexible phone concepts in the last year. But so far they only exist in designer's imagination (ie nit even ingeneer imagination)

That's freaking unbelievable! A folding AMOLED screen!
I'm looking forward to rolling and smoking a smartphone.

Nokia had the flexible design idea ages ago with the "Morph Concept".

But I'm pretty sure it mysteriously infringes on Apple's patents. *YAWNS*

flexible displays seem to be relatively easy to do (oled -> polymer based -> flexible). flexible motherboard and especially flexible batteries that are not worse than android's current state are just not really production ready.

The Morph is no longer a smartphone, it's a biochemical nano-built weapon.

That's some nice tech, but it kinda feels a little wasted on such a small screen...

I now want a humongous panoramic TV!
