how could I remove applets ?

for example : I've installed ProfilesX and now I've two profile applet. default and ProfilesX. I want to remove default profile applet.

Move /usr/share/applications/hildon-status-menu/status-area-applet-profiles.desktop to
/usr/share/applications/hildon-status-menu/disabled/

Or you could use PowaTool, which has a GUI.
