One of my IM accounts is an MSN account. It doesn't work very well: some days it will connect fine, other days not at all. So I have some questions:

* Does everyone else get this?

* When creating the account, I have three choices: "MSN", "MSN (Haze)" and "MSN (Pecan)". This is obviously at least two choices too many (if you think choice is good, please die). I'm using "MSN (Pecan)". Which should I be using? Is there any difference?

* On a bad day, the thing continually brings up yellow messages saying "Unable to connect to one or more accounts". This is annoying and stupid. How do I make it shut up? I don't want to disable the account, because sometimes there are good days, and on those days I would like to be contactable.

(P.S., pet hate: lazy software that says things like "one or more accounts". You have that information, there's no excuse for tangling up your sentence just because you can't be bothered looking up how many accounts you're talking about.)

I have this issue also, but Pecan is still the best available plugin. Haze / Butterfly eat a lot of battery or even crash sometimes :S

Pecan works very well for me. There is one bug, if you switch connection (3g to wlan or vice versa) you have to put yourself offline, and then online again to connect. if you don't it will try to reconnect every now and then, resulting in the error you mentioned.

Going offline and then online doesn't help me, I still get those annoying yellow messages.

Please follow Debugging on N900 and file a bug report.

I can't reproduce those issues you are talking about.
