I cannot find Mussorgsky(app to edit music metatags and album art) after Pr 1.2 update.Has anyone else faced this problem? is Mussorgsky no longer available in Extras or other repositories anymore?

Mussorgsky is only avaible in Extras-devel repository (http://maemo.org/packages/view/mussorgsky/). Are you sure you have it enabled? If not, remember that applications from Extras-devel may seriously harm your phone and make you have to reflash your N900.

Last time I tried mussorgsky didn't run at all on PR1.2...just crashes on launch.
Edit: Just checked, still no updates.

It works pefectly for me. pr 1.2..
I installed through faster application manager, and I have a stash of things installed, including power kernel, etc.. maybe is that? anyway, cool. L=)
