I made a helmate camera with my N900, don't worry I made a lens cover haha. Over all I'm very impressed with the video quality, I've gotten many compliments and people asking how I got a digital camcorder on my head haha (no knowing it was actually my phone).

I love my n900

My camera runs Linux

Lunix for the loonie bin, with a hellmate, of course.

I thought about using the N900 as a camera for filming, however was a bit too disappointed with the quality. Instead I went for the LX3 + lens adapter and depending on what I do, a wide angle adapter (brings it down to 16mm in 35mm equiv) or teleconverter bringing it up to 130mm.

I actually had it on a skateboard *helmet*. If you look at some of my other videos, you can see the whole setup in the reflection of my car. It looks lame I'll admit, but when you watch the video, looks amazing.

I tried to duct tape my N95 to a beanie last year in Mammoth but didn't work out so I just handholding it and snowboarded down the easy slope with Qik broadcasting
and my friend could see it

Pretty decent quality... I have a Tokyo Marui G36C and been thinking about mounting the N900 on it next time I go airsofting. I have a ton of films taken with my N85 which came out pretty decent....

I also got hold of a clear waterproof pouch for £5 on Amazon, put my N95 inside it, pressed record and went down some waterslides, went swimming, and even duct-taped it to my chest and went riding around Tenerife on a moped.

Hehehe

lol... I was thinking about doing the same. Camera quality is actually pretty decent for a phone camera. That screen is a damn huge target though. What did you use to protect it?
