I have a XP Vista, and all the programs that let you disable lifeguard and enable R & D are only availabe in Linux. I don't want to switch to Linux unless I have to so is there a way to do that in XP or Vista?

I think that you don't have to disable Lifeguard.I never did, and I've been using my N800 fanatically since January.
